Dr. Behnam Shakibaie is a multi-specialist and pioneer in implant microsurgery.Shakibaie graduated in Dentistry at Berlin Charite University in Germany in 1999, and gained passion for Oral Surgery during his doctorate thesis about Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) at Oral Surgery Department of Berlin Charite University from 1997-2001 led by Professor P. A. Reichart.
He continued his education with specialization in “Oral Surgery” at Berlin and Bonn University, Mastership in Implantology at DGI in Germany, Mastership in Periodontology at DGP in Germany and specialization in Oral Microsurgery and Micro Dentistry of Carl Zeiss Dental Academy in Switzerland.
Dr. Shakibaie has been developing and publishing new microsurgical techniques and instruments for oral implantology and jaw bone
reconstructions since 2005. Taking his published innovations and international educative activities from last decade into account, Shakibaie can be called one of the main pioneers in Implant Microsurgery, especially his new microscopic methods in sinus lift surgery, socket preservation and implant exposure are world known.
Shakibaie has been presenting and teaching his developments on conferences in more than 30 countries and at world leading dental
schools like University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania and University of Maryland.
He has been leading the “Implant Division” of the world greatest Micro Dentistry Community, MICROVISION for many years and is international instructor of Zeiss Dental Academy
Dr. Shakibaie is winner of many international scientific awards such as “The Best German Periodontist Award” of German Association of Periodontology (DGP) in 2007, “Heinz Erpenstein Research Prize 2010” of DGP, “Professor Yalda Award for Innovation in Medical Science 2011”, “Excellence Award” of Zeiss Dental Academy 2012.In 2019 Shakibaie was introduced in the list of “World’s Top 100 Dentists” in Los Angeles and in 2020 he was appointed to “International Ambassador of American Academy of Oral Surgery (AAOS) in Las Vegas”.
